OLD VERSION [Posted by Effie] The Reaping: THAT IS MAHOGANY
[Banner is something either with eyes, or like a reflected image background. "The Reaping" is written over it, maybe with I]
Welcome back my darling dears. I would like to congratulate you all for the honor being Reaped. I am sure that each of your Districts is ecstatic to have you represent them, just as I am sure that you will do them proud. One of my favorite facets of the complex nature of the Hunger Games is that even before you enter the Arena, the cameras are rolling and your fans are already wagering who is going to over- or under-perform. You might recall that I mentioned your sight would be key--well that starts now! Your first challenge will be rousing game of Team Spot the Difference. You will have one hour to do this challenge from when you start.
When you are ready to begin, you and your partner will reach out to a moderator. You will then each be given an image. These images are largely the same, but there are a number of small differences. This can range from the position of object changing, the color being altered, a person missing entirely, or any other minor adjustment. By only describing your images to each other, your task is to collectively determine what all 10 difference are as quickly as you can. You may phrase your answers however you want as long as it is clear which difference you are describing. For instance, "Effie's hair is missing a rose" would be acceptable, however "The table" would not. What about the table? Is it missing glassware? Only has a dozen cakes instead of a hundred? Is oak rather than mahogany??? You must be specific to the point that it is clear you are not just listing random things and hoping for the best. Once you have found a difference, you will submit it by posting in bold. At the end of the hour, you will earn one point for each difference correctly identified, and you will lose one point for each incorrect answer. In the case of a tie, the tiebreaker will be the team who reached their score earliest. This means that as soon as you are confident in an answer, you should submit it. [[That said, if you submit a difference that you later determine to be incorrect, you can retract it by posting " Retract:" and pasting the initial difference you submitted. This will strike the difference off your final score regardless of whether or not you were correct. However you can only guess a given difference once, so be cautious with your retractions.]] The use of outside resources to find the source image or for any other aid is strictly prohibited. May the odds be ever in your favor!

[Posted by Effie] Thank you all for your attempts. While you were all quite valiant, there can, of course, be but a single winning time. That honor and prestige goes to... District 10 - Tracer and Birdo, with a score of 15 correct, 0 incorrect and a time of just 57 minutes and 4 seconds. The rest of you came up a bit short, but for the edification of our wonderful Sponsors, here are the remaining scores: District 8 - Susan and 12/The Queen of Hearts - 15 correct and 0 incorrect in 57 minutes and 47 seconds.
District 3 - Fenrir and Zod - 14 correct and 0 incorrect in 45 minutes and 43 seconds.
District 11 - Shadow and Montreal Impact - 13 correct and 1 incorrect in 42 minutes and 52 seconds.
District 1 - River Song and Shuichi Saihara - 13 correct and 0 incorrect in 53 minutes and 36 seconds.
District 7 - Stitch and Ted Cruz - 13 correct and 0 incorrect in 59 minutes and 24 seconds.
District 6 - Pikachu and Donald - 11 correct and 1 incorrect in 52 minutes and 56 seconds.
District 12 - Tetra and Harbinger - 10 correct and 5 incorrect in 41 minutes and 30 seconds.
District 9 - Ulysses and Beetlejuice - 10 correct and 1 incorrect in 56 minutes and 51 seconds.
District 5 - The Star Worn by Verka Serduchka and Coco Pommel - 9 correct and 0 incorrect in 48 minutes and 39 seconds.
District 4 - Kirby and Gilly - 8 correct and 0 incorrect in 44 minutes and 31 seconds.
District 2 - Tapu Lele and Wenya Zhu - 6 correct and 1 incorrect in 48 minutes and 16 seconds.
To reiterate, District 10 is Immune and cannot be voted for. Tracer and Birdo, please tell us who will participate in The Eliminator in your Voting Thread, as well as a ranked list of the other Districts in the event of a tied vote. The rest of you, please cast your Primary and Secondary votes. You have until February 26th at 5pm to do so.

Teams (24 left)
Do you guys have good coverage for 24 hrs for all time zones? What happens if you have an Aussie and a Belgian in a pair and the moderators have limited availability - what is the workaround for this? (ie: spectators, listmod, reviewer will help in a pinch; or just extend the deadline if someone can't find the matching time). What happens if a team does not start before end of deadline? (speaking of which, are there penalty strikes in this game?)
"This will strike the difference off your final score regardless of whether or not you were correct." -This wouldn't make sense to someone whose primary language is not English. Could you explain "strike" a bit more?
To reiterate, District X is Immune and cannot be voted for. [NAME] and [NAME], please provide your choice for who will get to participate in The Eliminator. The rest of you, please cast your Primary and Secondary votes. -When do they have to decide - and is it public or private? Even though it's likely mentioned in the rules - this is the first time it's announced, it should be more explicit.

District Tour
Welcome back my darling dears. I would like to congratulate you all for the honor being Reaped. I am sure that each of your Districts is ecstatic to have you represent them, just as I am sure that you will do them proud. One of my favorite facets of the complex nature of the Hunger Games is that even before you enter the Arena, the cameras are rolling and your fans are already wagering who is going to over- or under-perform. You might recall that I mentioned your sight would be key--well that starts now! Your first challenge will be rousing game of Team Spot the Difference. This will be good as we do a Tour of all the Districts to get a sense of where you come from. Who knows, perhaps you will spot something about someone's District that they do not? Anything to give you an edge on your competitors may help. Rules: 1. You will each be given an image in your confessional. You may not discuss this image with anyone including your partner. 2. You and your partner will decide when to begin your challenge, but cannot discuss anything else about it. Once you are ready to start, one of you will fill out this google doc to start your clock. 3. You will have 1 hour to then go through your images to figure out what is different in both. You CANNOT share your images with each other except to describe them in detail with words. Once the google form has been submitted, you may discuss the challenge with your partner. 4. Once you have begun, your objective is to find all differences in the two pictures. There are a total of 17. 5. When you think you have spotted a difference, you must post the difference in bold. 6. If at any point, you realize that you had an incorrect difference, please type "RETRACT" followed by the bolded difference you wish to retract. 7. The winner of this challenge will be the team who spots and bolds the most correct differences. 8. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will be whoever posted the least amount of incorrect differences. (e.g. if two teams get 16 differences, but one team guessed an incorrect difference and the other didn't, the team that didn't have an incorrect guess will win). If there is still a tie after that, we will use the time that the last correct guess was given in order to determine the faster team. If you have any questions, feel free to contact a mod. Best of luck victors, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Greetings Tributes
You might be wondering what resulted in the delay of these results. During the course of the challenge one of your fellow Tributes, 12, found the source image for this challenge. They were honest and forthright and brought it to our attention, which presented us with a conundrum. Out of respect for fairness, there was clearly no way they could participate in this challenge due to that additional information they received. This did, however, raise a clarification in the rules since we did not explicitly state that no outside sources were allowed. Going forward please keep the following in mind:
Unless explicitly stated as a part of the challenge, you should consider outside sources disallowed by default.
Given that this resulted from a lack of clarity on our part, we attempted to find a solution without being unreasonably punitive. Disqualification from the challenge was discussed, but in the end we elected to allow Susan to play with a proxy player for 12. The Queen of Hearts was chosen from one of our remaining alternate players who have been blind to the course of the game. While you will see them join the Spectators after this, they were given only access to the General boards and the District 8 board to play the challenge. They had no additional advantage and entered this challenge with no foresight.
Please everyone thank the Queen of Hearts for stepping in at the very last minute in a huge help. She is a lifesaver.
If you have any other questions, please let us know.
