We here at the Capitol, know it can be a bit...difficult to relate to people right off the bat. It's all such a wild adventure before the real games get started! I've decided to personally spare some of my time in order to help you get started. Chins up, smiles on!
1. How do you feel about your character choice? Do you feel like you can embody the spirit of the victor you've been chosen to portray? Or are you going to just make a whole name for this former winner?
2. Have you had a chance to read the rules? If not, I recommend doing that. If so, what do you think of the Eliminator element to this game? Does this intimidate you or are you excited to prove your skillz?
3. What do you think is the best approach to the first 48 hours? Are you gonna focus more on social bonds or are you going to try super hard in the challenge? What are you specifically hoping for in a partner? Do you want someone who matches you or balances you out?
4. What kinds of challenges are you hoping to see in this competition? Do you think there is a certain type you would be more suited for? Is there a type you are dreading to see?
5. What is the most exciting aspect of this game to you? What are you hoping to get out of this experience? Do you think you have a good shot at winning? What sorts of things do you think you can do to improve your odds to do just that?
1. I am so pumped about my character! I am definitely excited to bring this bad ass, boss lady to life in this format! I imagine I will throw my own twist to her character, but River gets ishhh done and you best believe I am here to win.
2. Yuh! I think the Eliminator aspect will really put people on the spot and we will see true intentions and strategies come out quickly. It doesn't sound like the most comfortable spot to find yourself in, but I think fearing it won't get you anywhere.
3. I am doing both! I am trying to do as well as possible in the challenge...but I also don't actually want to win the first round. I don't need to put that kind of a target on my back this early. I also don't feel like it is the best move to make the most noise socially, either. I will participate in public conversation but I won't be initiating much just yet. However, privately, I have done my best to respond well to everyone who reached out to me and have reached out to a few myself. I want someone who will match my ambition to win, but I also want to be able to trust whoever I am matched with. I do not feel like we need to be all F2 right off the bat, but I want to keep that option open depending on who I am paired with. Balance also sounds nice, but I don't want a challenge beast as my partner. I want my partner to play smart, not to show off and be an obvious target.
4. I hope to see a mix. I am not the best at puzzles or anything that has to do with the history of previous games seeing as I have only participated in two Survivor games. I like numbers and word games, but I feel like it honestly just depends on what the challenge is. I do not think of myself as a challenge beast by any means, but I hope to win every now and then at least to build up credibility.
5. I am really excited to see how working in pairs is going to go. I believe that I will have a strong social game, but I think that having the perspective of not getting super 100% attached to whoever I get paired with first will be important. Yes, I want to be an awesome teammate...but there is a high probability that the pairs will get switched often and you need to be able to work with more than just one person in order to make it to the end. I anticipate that it will be important to make ties early on! I am nervous that I won't be as good at challenges and that it will open me up to facing the Eliminator more...but maybe I will have a stronger partner?
