This isn't meant to come across defensively, but for folks with really strong opinions about how the game went and how it "should" have gone, please keep in mind that this was a brand new game completely created by someone who wanted to make something new and share it with the community he loves.
Some amount of bitterness at loss is to be expected, but please also remember we have been managing issues as they arise, processing all feedback (including the negative stream of consciousness feedback), dealing with an absurd number of inactives and folks that dropped out, and now moderating during an actual global pandemic resulting in a shift of life circumstances.
This is not to dismiss valid critiques, but please keep in mind odds are reasonable that we've heard the feedback from someone else and at this point we are trying to run this to completion and to make it as enjoyable as we can.

I'm creating a real thread about this because I'm a moderator and I have Ultimate Power so nyah!
No but for serious this thread is meant to be a primer for folks coming in upset that they died or upset how the game ended up running or upset about whatever. I am going to preface this first of all because I do not want people to feel like they are barred from expressing their opinion. Your feelings, like all feelings, are valid. You have a right to feel however you feel, and you get to make the choice on how you process it. However I feel like there is a habit, and I know that I am guilty of this, of wanting to get those feelings out, especially to the folks who are perceived as the cause. For these games, that is the moderation team.
Please keep in mind that this was a brand new game and we had no real context for how it would play out. This was the labor of love from someone who really cares about his friends and wanted to give them fun to try out. Nothing about this was intended to be malicious and we ask that you do at least process that this was a lot of work that was always intended to be a fun experience. No one wants to lose a game, but please remember that only 2 of the 24 players who entered this game could win. There were always going to be 22 people walking away unhappy.
In a similar vein, please remember as you express your opinions that it is not unlikely we have received that feedback before. We have even potentially discussed it amongst ourselves as the game occurred. If we appear less than totally patient for what you want to say, keep that in mind, and please do not take it personally. We get that inactives sucked. We understand people have thoughts about Sponsors. We know that it's a bummer to end up getting the short end of the stick in the Eliminator with a challenge you might have felt ill-suited for.
I do not expect this to be a problem, but please keep talks in here civil. This was, again, a labor of love, so please try to be empathetic as you voice your thoughts. And if things get extremely negative or out of hand, I have no issue taking further actions.
And finally if you have any burningly negative thoughts that you just have to get off your chest, you are free to PM me directly on Discord and I will process whatever feedback you want to get in the world. You can reach me here: pantaleon#8249.
I hope this message is clear, and please reach out to me or another moderator if you have any questions.
