Yep, I pretty much expected Coco and Star to survive, but uhhh... that challenge was definitely a surprise! I'm not confident in my abilities to do well since I can't draw or describe things well, but then I realized there at least would be some cushion since I don't think District 6 would do all that well. Hopefully the drawing doesn't turn out to be too complex.

Oh, looks like I just got added to the PM group as well. Going in order...
Beetlejuice - Eh Coco - Fine Donald - Also Fine Fenrir - About Time, lol Gilly - Nice River - Sweet Susan - Fine Tetra - Better than Wenya Tracer - Great
So at this point I've been paired with Donald and Susan three rounds in a row, lol. At least I finally get to talk to Fenrir now. Actually I think I'll be able to meet everyone I haven't talked to yet this round, which is nice, though I haven't caught up with Pikachu and 12 in a while.

Spectator questions! Warning: Players who don't answer my questions will be forced to keep covering doubles for the rest of their time in the game. 1) Coco and Shadow came out of the eliminator, are these who you wanted to make it out and if so, how do you plan on using them to further your game? 2) Twist time! Lowest scoring district get sent into the eliminator, a lot more pressure here to perform well, are you going to perform to 100% or still try to hide your challenge threat level? 3) If you could pick your PM groups for a round, who would you pick? 4) you've got a bit of extra time this round so... Make me a meme of something from this game, here's a website if you wanna be lazy about it imgflip.com/memegenerator 5) A previous question stated about there being 10 rounds in theory, with this twist that makes it only 9 rounds... How does this change your gameplan and where do you plan on steering the vote tonight?

It's crazy that I've been lazy PMing this entire day and still somehow have a clear inbox. Though I did just remember I was the one leaving River hanging now since I totally forgot she was the last to send a message, oops! I fixed that now at least. Don't worry Peeta, I'm not ignoring your questions, I just haven't figured out what I'm going to do for the meme, lol. I'll try to whip something up by the end of tomorrow at most.
Oh, and something kind of interesting I found out is that apparently Tetra hasn't been getting along too well with Wenya either. She says Wenya's been weird and doesn't really know what's going on in her head, lol. I'll probably end up telling Ted anyways but I don't want to risk him leaking in the slim chance Tetra manages to win. Not that I don't trust him, I'm just making sure to play things extra safe when there's no reason not to.

OK actually I just realized I messaged 6 people back in the last hour which is over half my PM group, so maybe it isn't that crazy after all, lol.

1. Results are coming soon! Which district do you hope comes in last place? (If you're seeing this question after the results were posted, in an ideal world, which district would lose the challenge?) 2. How do you think other players see you? 3. Do you feel that you're living up to Stitch's legacy? Why or why not? 4. Who's the cooler spectator, me or Peeta?

How does this change your gameplan and where do you plan on steering the vote tonight? 1) Yeah, more or less! Though I pretty much plan on using them by just cutting them, lol. At this point I'm pretty well positioned (at least, as far as I know!) so trying to shake things up is about the last thing I need. 2) I put 100% of my effort in the challenge, which is pretty evident by the fact I'd ignored everyone else in the game for the past two days, oops! I'm really not concerned about coming off as a challenge threat. First of all, we're not even at the stage where we even need to target challenge threats yet. Secondly, even if I do get first this challenge, it'll be pretty evident over the next couple of challenges that I'm really not all that great at challenges. It'll probably be a good idea to keep around someone who's good at challenges for a while anyhow as long as you're close to them since you're pretty safe if they end up winning immunity and are a pretty good shield if they end up losing. 3)From 1 to 12: River, Zod, Gilly, Coco, Donald (but not by much), Susan, Ulysses, Tracer, and Tetra, which is like half my first PM group and half this one. 4)Just got this done in time! It's probably a bit unoriginal, but w/e 5)Eh, it doesn't really change it too much tbh. I pretty much predicted one of the inactive districts would've lost, and wound't you know it, 12 was the one sent packing after all! I'm a bit surprised 8 almost lost. Expected 6 to get pretty low too but I thought they'd be the ones getting last tbh.

1) I wanted 12 to lose anyways since I'm not sure how good I am with Wenya and I'm probably not great with Tetra, so this is fine.
2) Eh, I think they see me as fairly social. A bit inactive, especially lately, but generally alright at the very least. I don't really think I'm anyone's number 1 (outside of probably Ted and potentially River) but I don't think I'd be on most players radar anytime soon. At least, I'm hoping that's the case!
3) I've said before that Stitch's motto is "ohana means family, and family means that no one gets left behind, or forgotten" and, uh... I've directly voted out two districts with a third one coming soon, and on that same token have left behind a lot of players, and I've certainly forgotten a few players existed once or twice (I forgot Star was even a player in the game earlier on while I was trying to talk game with people) sooooo yeah, I guess there needs to be some work done there! But I have been pretty cheery and positive and am (and continue to be) loyal to those I'm really close to, which is roughly how he was towards the end of the movie iirc, so I guess in that respect I'm sort of living up to his legacy!
4) I'm almost certain that you have a colder body temperature than Peeta, even if his face does look stone cold, so I'd say you'd win out on that one, Mr.Freeze!

So in other news I'm surprised 3 won that out, and that me & Ted were that close to winning actually. I should still be good with 3 given we're (hopefully) still in an alliance, so yeah nothing to worry about on that front. I'm expecting the vote to be some arrangement of 5/6 and would actually be shocked if it comes down to anything radically different than that.

Gah, I'm finally out of that damn freezer. Mr Freeze, you think you can lock me away and steal my lime-light of asking questions, well think again buddy!
Cold-Hearted Questions! 1) This is the first time (and maybe last time) in which you can eliminate a whole district without any fear of them coming back, does this change how you vote in this round? 2) Which district would you want to be facing in the final challenge and how will you ensure that it's just you and them there? 3) Do you think your partner is strong enough to help you win the final challenge? Would you ever get yourself sent to the eliminator to get a better partner? 4) How should I get my revenge on Mr Freeze locking me in a freezer?
Player specific question!!! My final question will be tailor made to you! 5) You mentioned about being loyal to those you're close to...what do you do when all who are left are those you're close to?

Post by Stitch on Mar 8, 2020 4:10:10 GMT
1) Nope! Actually, I never realized that before. I mean, I knew there was the possibility that a whole district could be eliminated this round, but I didn't think about the potential to go for a big move here. Not that I'm interested in that, but I do kind of have a bad feeling in my gut that I'm not as safe as I feel I am. Maybe that's just my paranoia kicking in, though. Could be due to the really slow PMing going on lately. 2) I have not even thought that far, nor do I feel it necessary to actually think that far. For one, I highly doubt there isn't going to be a massive partner swap coming up, or at the very least a slew of advantages in the near future that'll mess around with the partners. Secondly, even if theoretically speaking I could ensure I'd face against one district right now, I only have a limited sample size to work from and can't exactly gauge whose the best and worst at challenges. I mean, the extremes are a bit obvious (3 is clearly a beast and 6 is lagging behind a bit, for starters), but from a personal standpoint I'd rather face someone I'd be alright losing to than trying to micromanage the best possible face-off. Besides, even if I did want to drag someone like 6 along, it's not worth it to try to stick my neck out so far this early and will likely only serve to create a target on my back. 3) Mmm, maybe? It'd depend on the challenge and who we're up against. He's about average in terms of challenge strength I'd say. But I definitely wouldn't get myself sent to the Eliminator just to get rid of him. Firstly, because I really like him, secondly, because it's a coin toss who'd win, and thirdly, because based on who wins in the other district I'm faced against I might not even be in a better position at the end of it. Obviously it'd be great to have a strong partner but I'm not going to value it over a likable partner (unless I end up getting paired with someone later on who's really bad at challenges, in which case I'd probably be more inclined to cut them). 4) What do you mean? You already got your revenge. Now you're most certainly cooler than Mr.Freeze after spending so many hours trapped in the freezer. 5) Um.. die? But really, I've been thinking about it a bit over the course of the game and am still not entirely sure. I'd probably want to avoid as much responsibility as possible, potentially throwing the immunity challenges (but not too obviously) and minimize how much I steer the vote (or warp my perception to where it looks like I'm just naive or helpless). I want to make sure the districts coming back don't feel betrayed by me, or at the very least feel betrayed even more by someone else. I'd imagine it'll be pretty difficult to navigate, but I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

I feel a bit awkward with Fenrir because we kind of just diverted off of game talk to talk about random stuff like we're already done with game talk, but he never actually confirmed to me his nomination. Not that it really matters too much since I already know through Ted, but yeah. I also just realized the deadline's going to end at 10 AM Pacific tomorrow, which I'm definitely not used to, but it also means the deadline's a lot closer than I realized when sleep's taken into account. I guess I'm kind of worried since Tracer hasn't gotten back to me yet, and when Beetlejuice messaged me a few hours ago he didn't message me about the vote at all. I mean the logical part of my brain is telling me that there's close to 0 chance everyone's blindsiding me this early, but it still just feels super weird.

Wow, who could've predicted that!! Not sure exactly why district 5 decided to vote for 9, not like it'd matter too much since I really doubt they'd become a target because of it anyhow.
Provided we don't see any sponsors played, I'm predicting the new district will be Wenya/Pikachu, though I can also see Tetra and maybe Shadow coming back as well.

Alrighty, I think I'm overdue for an update of sorts, so this'll probably be a bit long. I've been theorizing about things and been thinking that next round would be the perfect round for some super secret twist to be unleashed, especially since after this round there will only be two more until the merge (barring some other unknown twist) and I really doubt those two sponsors were supposed to be the only advantages introduced before merge. I didn't quite know what it would be, if there was going to be a challenge like the start of the game to reorder districts or something else entirely, but then I realized it would probably make sense to try to think more inline with the theme. I knew there was something in the oringinal Hunger Games that were like "drops" where the gamemakers announced a spot with goodies and such that you can go to, but the downside would be that there'd likely be a lot of other tributes there too that you'd have to fight over (after looking it up the technical term is "The Feast"). I don't really see the stakes being "get items or die" drastic considering it could really screw up the schedule if a lot of tributes passed away, but then again they did take into account that a lot of tributes might not have finished this challenge in time so I can't really say for certain. But I think it does make sense regarding the theme to have an alternative challenge next round that you can opt into if you want the chance of sponsors, a new pair, etc., but that if you end up doing really terribly you might get some disadvantage like a randomly assigned partner or something. In any case, I feel there's a decent chance I might get assigned a new partner as soon as next round, so I want to be just a teeeeeny bit less open with Ted in case that does come around, though if the start of the next round is the same as always I'll probably just ignore that and continue talking to Ted as always. At the very least there has to be some advantage that lets you swap partners in some fashion somewhere down the line, so I think it'll be a good time to like spill out how I feel about everyone on an individual level because there's certainly some divides between certain districts. ----------------------------------------- River Song - She's a bit tricky tbh. Like I feel like she's genuine when she says she cares a lot about my safety and really wants to work with me, but I just get a sense she's unnecessarily cagey. Like with the last vote I got a sense she didn't really want to see District 6 leave cus of Pikachu, yet she never really explicitly said whether or not she wanted to keep them and made it seem like "I guess that's alright if what everyone else wants" instead of like stating what she herself feels, and idk I kind of just expect her to be more open. I get a sense she's like that with everyone though, or maybe even more cagey with others, so I'll put a cap in it for now. Shuichi - Really nice to talk to! We didn't get a whole lot of game talk going but I really like his quirky personality. Fenrir - He's nice, I suppose! Our conversations seem slightly stiff but that's alright. We mostly just talked about my pets, lol. Zod - I like him a lot, and I think he likes me too! He brings up game with me quite a lot and we kind of talked about how we wanted the next few rounds to go. Of course, we didn't realize about the challenge twist at the time, so our general route of 5/6 -> new district/12 pretty much got mashed into one. Pretty solid. Kirby - Very charming! I feel pretty bad because I only got back to him like once every day, lol, but I still like him quite a bit! However, I can tell he's really game savvy and is the type of player I see getting along quite well with everyone, so I have my eye on him in case he decides to do anything tricky. Gilly - I swear sometimes it feels like we're the exact same person. We basically spent the entire deadline talking about how there was nothing to talk about, lol. I mean seriously, look at this PM Gilly sent me and this post I made earlier in my confessional and see if you can spot any major differences. I feel she's also pretty game savvy like Kirby, but I'm less worried about her since I feel we get along a tad better. I've been thinking about it and I think the longer deadlines are both a blessing and a curse. I'm glad it isn't super fast paced, but at the same time it's a bit of a struggle for me to try to PM since I'm not exactly sure what to talk about now. It feels like we're kind of past the point of small talk, but at the same time not really deep enough in the game to talk about much at all, especially after our alliance formed, so it's a bit awkward for me to try to make conversation. Hopefully I'll feel more motivated after the results are revealed. But yes, the real problem at the moment is that not much is going on. I feel like it's almost a problem with the PM group size. There's enough people that if things are actually happening, the only way I can possibly keep up is by going pure gamebot and cutting out flavor, going in depth on a strategic level, even if that's just "Hey guys, we're all voting the inactive, right?". But at the same time, when things aren't happening, that leaves very little to really fall back on to keep conversations going. It's a stark contrast to previous games, where I'd usually have some sort of side conversation about video games or books or what have you I could keep running with my allies while we plotted and planned. There's still a little bit of that sort of thing, but it's strained and much less frequent. I can bring it up from time to time, but it feels forced, and requires me to both have spare time, and an opening in the conversation, which usually happens via a message of the form "Eh, not much going on, how was your day?". Coco - It seems like she did a Montreal and not PM anybody at all this deadline except for really early on, or at least on my end. I don't think I'll see her come out of the Eliminator, which is a shame since it was pretty nice talking to her! Shadow - He's alright. Not the best PMer, but I appreciate him making an effort even if it didn't save him from the Eliminator. He's been on a pretty rough road given his luck with partners, and even if he wins the Eliminator it might be tough for him to weave his way back into the game. I'm not super eager to work with him, but maybe we can work something out if he ends up coming back. Pikachu - I've heard he's nice, but I haven't gotten much out of him from when we talked during the first 48 hours. I think it's fairly likely he'd make it out of the Eliminator alive, which is pretty meh since I haven't talked with him much, but I highly doubt he'd target me out of the gate considering he'd probably be pissed at a few people, I bet. Donald - Uggggh I feel really bad about ghosting him this deadline. I'm like super bad at blindsiding and breaking the news, which is probably going to hurt me a lot when we get into the more serious boots! He's not super active or a great PMer, but he's not too bad tbh. I just wish it were a bit easier to have a conversation with him. I kind of doubt he's coming out alive from the Eliminator though. Ted - Yeah, I still like him a lot! I feel even if we split apart we're going to be pretty close, though I'm worried if the alliances we stumbled into were more because of him than me. The other way around might be bad too tbh since he could easily spill that to others. I don't expect him to do so immediately of course, except with his new partner potentially, but yeah it's going to be very hard to keep things a secret if we do end up swapping. Susan - I kind of get a sense she's just disinterested in conversation, and while she's alright to talk to some of her responses are pretty bland. I feel there's a lot of people she feels closer to than me, and I feel the same way too tbh. 12 - I haven't talked to him since the first 48 hours. He was alright I guess, but I'd imagine it might be a nightmare to try to talk game with him with parsing his number dialect, though hopefully it's not as bad as I'm thinking. Ulysses - Very cool, really easy to have a conversation with, which I like in an ally. It's been a while since we last talked, but I'd be really happy to hook up with him again next time we meet. Beetlejuice - Eh... not as cool, tbh. I don't feel we click awfully well and he's kind of like Susan but a bit better than that. I wouldn't mind seeing him go if he got split from Ulysses, though I'm not interested in targeting him either unless it comes down to the wire. Birdo - Eh, she's so so. We did manage to get some game talk going, but I wish her responses were longer. In the same vein as Beetlejuice, I'd be alright with her going if she split from Tracer, a bit more so than Beetlejuice actually. Tracer - She's fine. She only got back to me this morning 'cus she thought she messaged me earlier, which I've gotten from quite a few people now, haha. I want to stay loyal to her for at least a bit longer considering we're supposed to be in an alliance and all, but otherwise while I'm close to her there's definitely people I'm closer to more (ala Ted, Ulysses, River, Gilly, etc.) Tetra - I think she's just fine tbh. It's a bit hard to strike a conversation with her, though part of that is on me since I hardly messaged her at all these past two rounds. I think there's a decent chance she comes out alive but I wouldn't bet money on it. Wenya - Whew. Honestly, I think trying to ally with her is going to hurt me badly down the line. I have no idea how she felt about me ignoring her that first vote, if it even crosses her mind at all. I think I just want her gone just to get rid of some of the unpredictability in the game, but if we end up being sort of good after all I guess I wouldn't mind too much if she comes back into the game. ------------------------------------------- Ugggh, that was a lot to type. I guess if I could choose any partner it'd probably be between River/Gilly/Ulysses, though River might be a bit tricky since I don't know how my alliance would react to me picking someone outside of our alliance. I'm probably hoping the pair is Coco/Donald even though that's likely not going to happen. I don't know if I'd be super down to work with them but at the very least I think they wouldn't be coming after me, so that's nice I guess. I realize I have quite a few players I'd consider allies, which might make these next rounds super tricky if there is indeed a district swap and all my allies get scattered around. I don't think there's really a good way to plan around that though, so I'll just deal with it when I have to deal with it, I suppose. I have no idea what I'm even going to do if everything stays the same next round either tbh. I feel the new district would fine their way into the Eliminator once again, but the next pair is super tricky considering I have an alliance with 3/4/7 and separate alliances with 1, 7, and 10 (though with 1 it's mostly just implied tbh). I guess I'd have to go after 8 to not immediately back stab anyone, but I doubt River would be happen with that, yet if I target anyone in my main alliance this early it'll blow up my game drastically, and going after 10 would tip them off that something seriously sketchy is going on. It'd probably going to be a nightmare, so I think I'm kind of hoping there are a fair number of partner swaps next round just so that I can have an excuse to suddenly shift loyalties, lol.
