Hey y'all, thought I'd get this thread set up early before I dive into the PM game and you clutter up my welcome thread with questions I don't intend to answer in there. I will happily come and answer your questions, so please be a friend and say hello.
I really am excited to play this game. Wish me luck, lovelies.

I am only going to follow one player's confessional at a time. I will be VERY invested in this one player. Why should this player be you? Please note that I am a specbot that likes in depth discussion of relationships and strategy.
So why should you get my rose?

Hello and welcome to the game, after surviving my own hunger games I'm now super excited to watching you guys battle it out to the death.
I'm a bit of a betting man and I wanna place some early bets as to who is gonna win so I'd love to get to know some of you a bit more so here's some starter questions for you:
1) Do you have a starting game plan and if so, what is it? 2) How will you determine your rankings of other players? 3) If you win the game, what will you do with the money 4) If you could partner with any spectator who would it be? P.s there is a right answer 5) Tell me a joke/pun about your character

Hello my lovelies, it is so good to see you all. I'm taking a break to update you on all that is going on. I had forgotten how exhausting shipwrecks are, goodness, my fingers are going to start bleeding from all this typing. Let me grab the scant few updates I've made at the mods over discord to share with you all and then I will get back to your questions. Firstly, this board is beautiful. The aesthetics are on point, and aren't horrible on my eyes. I'm very happy about this first challenge being one I've done before too. PMing people to begin with was kinda hard, it was like I'd forgotten how to start conversation. But I think I recovered from that. I'm leaning into what I know about certain people's games where I can. But I made a point to talk to both Zod and Gilly as they both had Susan related things to draw on. Like Zod's closing speech referenced my gameplay, and Gilly was the winner after and didn't want a repeat of Greece. So joking around that way has kind of helped a bit. Zod is probably my favorite person in the game so far, really easy to talk to and feels like we just gel well. 12 has the leetspeak gimmick, so I've been calling him Iz and I actually like him even if he's a bit odd. Birdo also is a strange one who mostly speaks in oneliners and images. Fenrir mostly sends puppy gifs, which isn't a problem but isn't the easiest to draw upon. Beetlejuice is a very strange one. A lot of the way he talks is nonsensical, but he also makes me laugh incredibly hard. Have a fun exchange we had last night Tapu Lele and my pms have been incredibly lackluster and I don't see that one going anywhere: Who titles a PM hello in 2020? That's a bold move son. Ted Cruz is also delightful, our PM is called Susie and Cruzie and he's also fun. That's most of the actual game content updates I have for right now. Will answer questions presently.

1. How do you feel about your character choice? Do you feel like you can embody the spirit of the victor you've been chosen to portray? Or are you going to just make a whole name for this former winner?
My character choice was incredibly deliberate. I absolutely think I can embody the spirit of xof. But additionally, I want to give Susan a new journey. As a winner, she's always seemed to have an asterisk next to her name. Like sure she won, but did she deserve to? Was it just some fluke? And Susan deserves better than that and I want to give her a much better experience and conversations about her to be much more positive and actually give her some stans.
2. Have you had a chance to read the rules? If not, I recommend doing that. If so, what do you think of the Eliminator element to this game? Does this intimidate you or are you excited to prove your skillz?
I have! I like all the elements of the game as I understand them. I think I do solidly in challenges and hopefully well enough to stick around. I'm not great but I don't think I'm awful either. I'm just excited to be here!
3. What do you think is the best approach to the first 48 hours? Are you gonna focus more on social bonds or are you going to try super hard in the challenge? What are you specifically hoping for in a partner? Do you want someone who matches you or balances you out?
I think that the best approach is not to spread yourself out too thin. Talk to as many people as you can sure, but don't kill yourself trying to get to everybody. Focus on the people you like and build those bonds. I've done this challenge before and I do plan to put a lot of work into it but not quite yet. I want a partner who complements me, I don't want someone who is exactly like me, but that we've got a nice venn diagram going. I want a true partner that I can trust and work well with.
4. What kinds of challenges are you hoping to see in this competition? Do you think there is a certain type you would be more suited for? Is there a type you are dreading to see?
I'm hoping for a variety here. Give me words and trivia baby, that's my jam. Puzzles too, but not nearly so much. I do not want anything that needs math or intense strategy.
5. What is the most exciting aspect of this game to you? What are you hoping to get out of this experience? Do you think you have a good shot at winning? What sorts of things do you think you can do to improve your odds to do just that?
The partner aspect is what drew me in most, I love a game that gives people an incentive to not work against each other. But I also am looking forward to the restricted communication tbh. Message chains just sound like a lot of fun. I think right now it's best to build a base of people that you can talk to so that you can maximize getting messages down the chain to somebody specific. Like, it'll be a game of telephone. I am here for fun tbh i find games incredibly fun. I think maybe I could do well here with the right partner. To increase my odds I'm just gonna do my best and bring sunshine with me where I go. That's my plan.

I absolutely think I can embody the spirit of xof. Well yeah, everybody is xof therefore you'll embody her by default.

Well *I* like 12 and I think he likes me too, but I know a fair few other people did not, so I'm hoping this doesn't go badly for me cuz I feel like Iz is a guy who could wreck me in elimination.

I can work with this though. All the people I've barely talked to are together and all the people I like are at least with somebody else I like a little. This is fine.

Round 2 questions:
1. You are now part of a District! Your District's theme is specifically centered around a specific niche in The Hunger Games. Do you feel like a part of you fits the theme, or is it mostly just a silly gimmick you don't really care much for? Why do you feel this way? 2. As you are in a District, that means you have been paired up with someone. Is this an ideal person for you to be with or do you have reservations? What makes you feel this way? 3. Challenge scores & ratings were put up yesterday. Were there any surprises or did it all pretty much unsurprise you for the most part? What specifically seemed interesting about these ratings? 4. PM groups were decided yesterday, meaning you now have half the amount of people to talk to as you are used to. Is this a relief? Or are you finding some difficulties in trying to now navigate a less open social field? Have you been utilizing your District forum to exchange communication with your partner for the half you are no longer allowed to talk to? (We hope you might at some point so specs can see what sorts of info you are exchanging!) 5. The next challenge is up and it is your first District Challenge for Immunity? How do you feel about your chances? Do you feel your partner will help or hinder your ability to complete it? Elaborate.
May the odds be ever in your favor <3

If this was actually just a fight to the death between the characters, who would win? How do you think you would do?

Spectator questions! Would love to hear from you guys about your pairings and how you're feeling 1) How much have you and your partner talked before? 2) What do you feel you bring to this partnership? 3) What should be your team name? The punnier the better 4) What twists would you like to see in this game? 5) What's 3 things you and your partner have in common?

I would end up with the partner who accidentally finds loopholes and makes the mods have to jump through a bunch of hoops to fix it. We players don't deserve all the care and grace in which you mods make up for our mess ups. Y'all are delightful. And I will try to update this properly soon. It's been a busy few days.

Spectator questions! Results of the second challenge are in, Birdo and Tracer took the victory 1) How safe are you feeling right now? 2) If you had the only vote here and didn't need to worry about social politics, who would you send to the eliminator? 3) Are you going to focus on threats or on quieter players? 4) If you're sent to the eliminator, do you think you'd make it back out? 5) In theory, half of everyone you vote off will come back from the eliminator, how will you manage their anger with you voting them off?

I love you guys, and I'm sorry my confessional is trash. You're best off finding out what I'm thinking and all by checking my chat with 12. I will try to give *something* but I make no promises. Discord at the mods is so much easier. Just know I love you all, and hope I can bring y'all something interesting even if you have to guess my motives and thought processes.

I think you're doing more than enough for us spectators by sharing your thoughts in your district forum, but is there anything you've said there to 12 that you wouldn't consider entirely truthful?

Thank you <3
But actually no, everything I've said to Iz is the truth. Though, I suppose the deals I have with the people I've mentioned were not with my *pair* they're with me. And I think that's an important distinction. Like River and Shuichi like and trust me and I'm who they want to work with, but they'll deal with 12 while he's my partner. Ulysses and I share similar views about wanting to be aggressively mediocre as we can, and helping each other out as much as possible. But that's not a deal that involves either of our partners for that matter. Zod might be the closest agreement that includes 12? But even then, he didn't say specifically, and neither did I.

Kirby: I've found that everyone in this game seems to follow an eSport of some kind. Is that the same for you? What kind of game have you dropped me into mods? Is this secretly League or Nexus Survivor all over again?

Spectator questions! So Tapu Lele v Wenya Zhu and Shadow v Montreal Impact 1) Did you know that these were the districts being sent to the eliminator? (either by the immune pair or from feeling confident on the vote) 2) If you knew, did you in any way warn these districts about being sent and if so, what was the reaction 3) What 2 players do you want to win this eliminator challenge? 4) Describe (in as much detail as possible) the current gladiator battle that is currently going on in the eliminator 5) What's the juiciest gossip you've heard so far this game?

Watching all of that happen last night in real time was crazy. I would have been gutted if River/Shuichi actually had to go home. But it's kind of okay how it all went down. I think it let's me just fade more into the background while still being liked enough I'm informed about things. And I'm not directly involved in any of the shenanigans, I just know about them. Which is frankly ideal. Y'all can pull your crazy shit and have it explode in your face, I'mma be over here watching and observing the best ways to use it to my advantage without seeming like I am. Just whispering around the outside "wow, that's so crazy, right? how could such a thing happen? gosh, just what are we going to do if this happens again? Oh no, I have your back if you have mine. I'm sure it'll all be okay and fine."

Kirby: Yeah there's been a lot happening and a lot of crazy stuff going around. Well done on piecing things together. I heard you had a large part in that.
Oh no, none of that sir. You tell me who said what. I didn't really *do* anything? I just asked River, and she later posted how she got it. It's like common sense? It ain't that special. Mind not saying things that I *know* you're trying to flatter me with, pal. You got that subtext of being calculated and everything you do and say having a purpose. It ain't reading genuine my dude. Don't you insert compliment coins into my friendship box, they start to feel counterfeit.

Spectator questions! 2 Players down already, sponsors being thrown around and that was only round 1 1) Do you know where the sponsorships came from? 2) Are you happy with the players who came out of the eliminator and how are you now are going to deal with them? 3) If a twist allowed you to swap partners would you and if yes, who would you want as a new partner and why? 4) Looking ahead, the overall winners of this game will be determined by challenges, would you/have you thrown any challenges to reduce your threat level? 5) In the spectator area we have a thread specifically for the best and funniest quotes of the game, are there any quotes from your PMs that you feel deserve a place in this thread?

Round 3 Questions:
1. You are now participating in your third challenge. Are you liking the challenges so far or have you found them to be too easy? What sorts of challenges do you hope to see going forward? 2. Two Sponsors were played last round, WOW! That's intense. Do you think there are more Sponsors around for the taking? How did the Sponsor plays affect your game? 3. Have you given any thoughts to alliances? Which Districts do you see yourself aligning with? Are there any players you want to work with that you feel your partner might not? 4. Is Peeta Mellark the worst spec of all time for stealing half my questions?! 5. Provide a ranking of all of the players by who you trust to who you don't trust. (including your partner if you wish)

4b) Gonna take a stand here, is Peeta Mellark the best spec for giving the true hard hitting but also entertaining questions, not just every round but every stage of every round? 4c) Who would come out of the eliminator alive, me or Effie Trinket?
