That was a lot! And yeah, definitely head to sleep.
I will ask some questions, but they can even wait until later tbh:
- Is there anything in the image that does not have a black border? (e.g. tentacle mouth etc.) - Is there significant size difference between left hand squiggles and right hand squiggles? How do they compare to the sunhand size? - Are all of the lines/drawings crudely drawn or is there anything that looks like a shape was inserted? - Are your sun hand squiggle descriptions as if you are drawing them from the centre of the sun, or just how they look from top to bottom?
Other than that, I can't think of anything that would significantly change the accuracy. And yeah, take your time with answering.

Everything that has a color has a black border. Nowhere in the image do two colors touch unless one of the colors is black.
There is no significant size difference between the LH/RH squiggles. The LH squiggles are about 2/3 of the sunhand diameter. The RH squiggles are about the same size as the LH squiggles. except for that really long one that goes wayyy off to the left.
Everything is crudely drawn, there are no inserted shapes. Except for the eyes on the purple star, blue fish, and silly friend. Those eyes are all just a single click of the brush tool so they end up being a perfect dot. They are all the same size.
The sun hand squiggle descriptions are all from from top to bottom.

Awesome thanks!
Completely take your time with answering but more q’s if possible.
Re: Giant crab thing. Am I right in interpreting the claw/fangs as kind of attached to the face? As in if you imagine a crab claw. One side will be the face and one side the claw-like shape?
Also when drawing silly friend it always feels like I’m drawing a leaning tower of penis that happens to become a pick axe. Is that a problem?

That is exactly what silly friend looks like. If that's how you describe him then I've done a good job communicating his appearance.
I'll get back to you on crab head

I did a bad job of explaining the overall shape of the crab head so here's a re-imagining of it. All the dimensions and bounding boxes I gave earlier still stand.
Imagine a crescent moon like this: C Now rotate it 45 degrees clockwise so it's diagonally down and to the right.
Now stretch it out to make it a bubble letter crescent moon that's filled in red.
Then make the prongs longer and bigger and curving inwards a bit more so it's like a pincer claw or like a bitey mouth.
Then on the inside of the C <-- put those five smaller tentacles (which are really just spikes, they're not wavey or anything, they are just curved traingles that I call tentacles because the whole thing reminds me of zoidberg).
And then because the C is a filled in shape, the eyes are like
(. e.... e ) ( wwww ) (............ )
where e is the eyes, w is the tentacle mouth. and dots are just empty space. Take that ascii and rotate it and make it like it's coming from offscreen and you got crab head man.

Also when you think you have a final image one good thing we can do is have you describe the entire thing back to me in your own words as a sanity check to make sure you're not missing anything or have added anything on accident.

Okay this challenge has been overall quite difficult for me and I haven't been able to quite get the exact positioning of everything right but I think it will be close enough.
We've got scary emotionless red giant crab thing swooping in from the top left and beginning to almost envelope the leaning tower of penis, who in defense has ejaculated a sad fish to strike at the crab's spiky things.
The arms and hands I have for the silly friend are probably not quiiite right with it all looking a bit like messy squiggles and the hands seem more like energy balls rather than suns. I also have the arms stretching quite wide as if the silly friend is going to give us a big hug. That might not be right.

Ok so you've also got the earth with the water, continents and islands, the blue sky in the background, and the purple star with the :0 mouth?
And the silly friend is .^.?
Big hug is good, that is correct. But because his face is like .^. it's like he's going to give the crab a big hug. Also .^. being upside down is intentional, his face is up side down as if he's looking at the crab.
If you have all the features I think the mods are lenient with artistic ability.

I mean at the very least I don't expect us to come in last place while donald is in the game.

I'm a little bit busy from now to deadline, will be checking in periodically
I feel like you've suffered a lot and it sounds like you're close enough anyways if you have all the feature. Based on the mods judging criteria I don't think they care if the sun arms exactly align with the continents or whatever, as long as every feature is there.

okay I think it should be fine then.
Work really took it out of me this week and paint/drawing in general is a massive weakness of mine. I took this on as a challenge of “yes I can do it against the odds!!!” And then I was like “oh dear what have I gotten myself into”
I’ll submit when I get to a computer.

CHALLENGE SUBMISSIONThis way you don't have to look if you'd prefer not to. And I really want to say thanks for being awesome! I know I was a lot of work this challenge and I appreciate it. Hopefully we don't come last!
