It could have been a reward for getting last in the first challenge? A gift from the specs? Maybe it was in the sign up thread?

Good thing (for me) that insomnia hit and I decided to check once more before trying to essentially nap before my shift tomorrow lol. Now that I’m all awake and stuff...here’s to hoping maybe I can sleep an hour or two?!

Indeed, I was watching wrestling before this so yeah. Gonna go back to that. Sleep well river and like I can't thank you enough for saving my ass there. I guess we'll just have to showdown later, or not at all. Hopefully not at all.

Lol hopefully not!! The only time I’d want to showdown with you is for F1 & F2!!!
Also, if people ask, let’s just say that I got a sponsor for winning the first challenge. Makes me look a little better lol

That’s what I’m going to tell Susan, that I got it as a reward for the first challenge. I don’t want people knowing that I spent an entire day looking for something like that lol or to tip others off to search if there are more!

basically it's a long phrase of words you just copy into places also. Captainmeme did design on this game, and I recognize that team challenge and eliminator challenge from somewhere...oh yes: www.tapatalk.com/groups/reverse_the_curse/You might want to read that at some point though I doubt they pull too many from that.

Anyway, copypasta:
YOU KNOW THEY SAY THAT ALL DISTRICTS ARE CREATED EQUAL, BUT YOU LOOK AT US AND YOU LOOK AT OTHER DISTRICTS AND YOU CAN SEE THAT STATEMENT IS NOT TRUE. SEE, NORMALLY IF YOU GO ONE ON ONE WITH ANOTHER DISTRICT, YOU GOT A 50/50 CHANCE OF WINNING. BUT WE'RE GENETIC FREAKS AND WE'RE NOT NORMAL! SO YOU GOT A 25%, AT BEST, AT BEAT US. THEN YOU ADD KURT ANGLE TO THE MIX, YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING DRASTIC GO DOWN. SEE THE 3 WAY AT SACRIFICE, YOU GOT A 33 1/3 CHANCE OF WINNING, BUT WE, WE GOT A 66 AND 2/3 CHANCE OF WINNING, BECAUSE KURT ANGLE KNOWS HE CAN'T BEAT US AND HE'S NOT EVEN GONNA TRY! SO OTHER DISTRICTS, YOU TAKE YOUR 33 1/3 CHANCE, MINUS OUR 25% CHANCE AND YOU GOT AN 8 1/3 CHANCE OF WINNING AT SACRIFICE. BUT THEN YOU TAKE OUR 75% CHANCE OF WINNING, IF WE WAS TO GO ONE ON ONE, AND THEN ADD 66 2/3 PER CENTS, WE GOT 141 2/3 CHANCE OF WINNING AT SACRIFICE. SEE DISTRICTS, THE NUMBERS DON'T LIE, AND THEY SPELL DISASTER FOR YOU AT SACRIFICE.

I can’t say I understand copypasta but I’m trying! Lol
Hey no worries. I will ask your thought on something, though. I’m getting A LOT of questions about the sponsorship and how I got it. I want to put out a generic statement to my entire PM group that I got the sponsorship when I won the first challenge. You good with that? I want people to think that I got it from winning a challenge many people admitted to underperforming in from fear of being seen as a potential threat. I don’t want them to know that I searched and searched for it lol

I mean either just PM them it all individually or post it to all. I'm keeping with you getting it from that so yeah, do that. It also makes sense that they'd give you one to avoid being immediately eliminated while also becoming a threat, right? Especially with Montreal getting the other and I'm sure they're not gonna correct you.

Also it's just rewording this promo from scott steiner which is possibly one of the most hilarious things in pro wrestling history:

To keep our stories straight, I said to Susan that it was a District 1 is proud of your performance so here’s a sponsor gift. I am wishing I had used different wording because my sponsor is an ice cream flavor with Katniss’ name on it so that doesn’t totally make sense, but neither does assigning 12 a score of 12 just because he’s 12. I’m going to post a little blurb in the PM group to give them clarity that it was a reward for winning the first challenge.

“Hiya PM pals! I just got home from being out of my house for 13 hours (weird work schedule and such) and have received quite a few questions regarding the sponsor I used. I received the sponsor for winning the first challenge. As y’all saw, immunity wasn’t on the line for that challenge so I got the sponsor as a reward instead for my performance. Given the nature of how I acquired mine, I was pretty shocked to see one used by someone else. That in itself may cause you to have more questions, but I can only speak to where mine came from. Feel free to join me in eating some chocolate to try and alleviate the some of the stress this first round of the Eliminator has caused! Lol.”

Okay, River. So I got a proposition for how we need to move forward in this game. Cause like, we're threats, we were really good on both early challenge, people might not believe your idol tale and let's face it, we are not slowing down nor do I think it's possible for us to easily "decrease our threat level" in any way that doesn't just crop up. We are like a blazing campfire roaring to life against the pitch black sky. Sure we can try to put it out, but we might fail, and even if we do, everyone will remember they saw it. So instead what we need is to start a bunch of fires elsewhere, so no one comes for ours. I.E River, we need to start a lot of fights and create a lot of threats. Hopefully we will come into enough information to do this. '

I agree that there is absolutely no way we can decrease our threat level. I agree that we have to redirect the targets but we have to be SO careful and completely aligned. I’ve been subtly suggesting to others that it seems like many intentionally underperformed in the first challenge for fear of getting the target of being a strong player early on. I’ve been posing hypotheticals that the ones stronger in challenges may be staying under the radar intentionally at this point. Now, I haven’t been going and telling everyone that because acting defensive about winning the first challenge isn’t a good look, either. However, when I have posed those thoughts, others have quickly been like, “yeah I think you’re right about that!” So hopefully that has helped.
Do you have any information that could help?

I mean the main things are, push Donald into having more negative interactions with people that he hints at. Next is if Lele lives, throw out the idea of them trying to sink their partners and being better to not be in the pool. Are there any "strong pairs" we don't trust that we think can get put more in the spotlight?
Also reminder, this game is like 10ish rounds, not too many, so playing fast might not be the worst thing.

So apparently Ulysses (and I think Zod) were rubbed the wrong way that they had heard from others first about how I got my sponsor. I know it doesn’t sound reassuring, but I respond to messages in the order I get them and I only had the opportunity to message a couple people during my work breaks. I got 2 hours of sleep, worked crazy hard on my feet for 8 hours, had life happen, and didn’t get home for 13 hours. That’s when I decided to do a public post but I guess at that point Susan and maybe Stitch had told others how I got it. I’m trying to do some damage control, but wanted to give you a heads up on what’s happening on my end. Is anyone saying anything weird in your group?
